Deeper Shades Of Purple

August conjures thoughts of summer days. Time that has been spent at the beach, baseball and bar-b-ques are becoming fading memories. They will soon be put aside with the memories of summers past. When planning a late summer wedding, lavender and lace can easily find their place and time. Light purple and lilac are colors that are associated with romance and nostalgia.

The shades of purple can be seen, tasted and even worn for weddings. It is a versatile color that has been re-invented around the world. The Chinese invented a purple shade called han purple which can be seen in the famous Terracotta soldiers. Purple, lilac and violet are great colors for smaller and more intimate weddings. The colors that compliment purple are green and orange. Shades of blue and yellow can also compliment counterparts of purple.
